Hello everyone..^^

It's my 21st birthday today, so I'm here to write down these words..

It seems to be a reakkt short time since my 20th birthday, which is also the first one after  I truly become an artist..^^;;

Things came out that a whole year has passed so quickly..^^

I'd like to say Thank You again to all of you, while you've been providing me with a lot of  love and paying plenty of attention to me..^^

Age 21..^^

It's time for me to think over the things that are important and valuable to me, while I  should learn a lot more at the same time. I hope it will become a start point from which I  could start making more progress..

While stepping forward in a hurry and somehow confusing way, the best things that provided  me with huge strength while I was tired..

are fine musics.. and the stage.. I would never forget any of you accompanying me, so as to  make better efforts..^^

And my first solo album is going to be released soon..I've been really happy and preparing  myself for it excitedly..^^

There has been pressure, and also anxiety ahead.. but this seems to be a very chance to  gather more experience and be better developed, so the excitement in my heart has also been  growing larger..

How is everyone…??^^ HaHa

Yesterday~ we had our first concert in Japan and I thought that you guys might be waiting so I’m posting this message .. ^^

The concert was a very good experience… ^^

It was a totally different environment…we formed a concert with people we met for the first time…

It was overwhelming to think that it was our first concert in Japan… ^^ Haha

Now that I think about it, I think we could have done better.. ^^;;

I want to thank all the Japanese fans that cooperated with us throughout the concert and the fans back home cheering us on.

Thank you guys so much..

We’ll become a BIG BANG that shows improvement even in Japan… ^^

TaeYang of Big Bang who recently released his solo mini album revealed his wish to be in a relationship.

It is well known amongst Big Bang members and their fans that until now, TaeYang had not been in a relationship before. TaeYang has been training and performing under YG Entertainment since his 6th grade in elementary and had not chance to have a girlfriend and be in a relationship.

TaeYang had said “It had seemed weird even to people around me that I haven’t even got the chance to have a girlfriend. But I believe that I will meet her one day - the person who will be my girlfriend and whom I will marry.”

Big Bang members had teased TaeYang and his idea of pure youth of finding his true love when TaeYang brought it up.

TaeYang currently has just released his new MV “Look Only at Me”, the title song of his solo mini album “Hot”. The song is rising up positions fast on music sites.

His solo album is doing very well with record sales of 14,000 copies in just 4 days after release. This sales record got the number 1 spot for daytime sales.

Taeyang also revealed that “As compared to debuting as Big Bang member, I feel more nervous now. But I keep telling myself that this is my wish of having a solo album, and I have to work hard for it.”

TaeYang will start the promotional performances for the title song “Look Only at Me” on 31st May on MBC Music Core.

Wait. Since when was Taeyang (of Big Bang) a “Man”? In our eyes, the 20 year old is still wet behind the ears. GQ Magazine (Korea) must not have had many good candidates for this year’s “Man of the year” but then again, their interview of the Big Bang member is not what you call Pulitzer Prize worthy.

Excerpts from the interview:

On compliments and criticism:
GQ: Do you like receiving compliments?
TY: Sure. But I also like criticism.
GQ: Do you like criticism?

TY: I am used to getting reprimanded

GQ: So if you are used to it, then do you like it?
TY: It just means that they are interested and are thinking of me

On past love:
GQ: If you were able to go back into the past and had the chance to marry your first love, would you?
TY: No. The first woman you meet does not represent everything (in a woman).
GQ: So, who would want to be your first love?
TY: haha. Like the group, we work together in the same direction. For love it’s the same thing. At first it might not be so good, but as time passes, you will know.

TY: Not really. I’m pretty hard on myself….

Taeyang was featured as “Man of the Year” in the December 2008 edition of GQ Magazine (Korea).
